I need the joy that in your eyes alight
When meeting mine just sometimes do shine with
I need the joy your arms embracing tight
When close again, sweetly do me twine with
I need the tenderness your lips so sweet
When meeting mine my open heart does feel
I need the tenderness of soul complete
That when I'm in your sight melts shell of steel
I need the laughter on your gentle lips
Caress of fingers long and strong and silk
I need the warmth, in flooding or in sips
I need your love, in every shape and ilk.

And every time you give them all to me
My soul is singing - love was meant to be

This is again a poem stemmed from roleplay. A lot less bound to specific circumstances, which is good since that character is unlikely to spew rhyme ;)

you seem to have a strong command of what you're saying; i don't think i've seen a style quite like yours. i really like the imagery and detail. =D

 Thank you very much! I don't think I actually aim at some style; I write words and verses as they come. Especially for more fixed forms, like a sonnet, I sometimes need to fiddle a little to get the metric and the internal rhythm quite right, but the content... it flows.

Thank you muchly for reading and taking the time to comment! And I am glad you like it :D
